That's my purse, I don't know you

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Are you taking enough classes? Some financial aid is based on the number of credit hours you're taking, so if you're not registered for full-time (12+ credits) then you won't get all of the money that is available to you. But like the other anons said, talk with your adviser as soon as possible. Additionally, don't be afraid to look into student loans to cover any gaps.

I did make sure to have at least 12 credits for that very reason so I don't think it's that. I'll definitely be talking to someone on Tuesday. And the word student loans just sends me into a rage of terror to be honest just because I'm so immensely broke.

Small student loans aren't a big deal if you can get them federally, but I would strongly advise against getting them from Sallie Mae.

sallie mae is dicks. :/ that's where i had mine from and they were terrible and i had so many problems trying to get payments deferred (i couldnt find a job so we were on foodstamps) and it's not an experience i would wish on anyone.

worst part is that they WERE federal stafford loans and i still had all those problems.

do not get $40,000 from through through 6 or 7 different loans

deferring will cost $150 every time that they let you defer, and even when you try, they'll go "oh, do you have anyone you could ask for money?" every fucking time

no, if i had people i could just ask for money, i would have asked them for money before getting loans
