That's my purse, I don't know you

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

To be fair, that one's better than Cacophony.

Still shit though.

Like, I don't throw around the terms bootlicker or whiteknight lightly (because people misusing those words really irritates me), and I'd perfect understand if someone had their own reasons of liking it, but the specific comments being made was stuff like "this guy is clearly not qualified to review if he doesn't recognize the genius of Kevin Smith".

(How bad could Cacophony be? Was it bad for the same reasons, but worse?)

Basically, yeah, the same reasons. Kevin Smith is a huge Batman fan, but that doesn't necessarily mean he should write Batman comics. Again. Ever.

The funny thing, that exact same point was made in the article; fans don't necessarily make the best writers. In fact, sometimes they make the worst, specifically because they're fans (e.g. the Last Airbender film, which has multiple fanservicey shout outs that won't be appreciated because the movie itself is horrible).

It makes me so sad because I fucking loved Quiver.
