Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

When coloring panels and the panel has the character's eyes visible through their hair--what is the best method for coloring this? Color the eyes as if the hair wasn't even there? Shade them as if they were shadowed? Erase the parts of the eyes that would be covered by hair? I've got the perfect expression for one of my characters, but this is seriously bugging me.

I usually just erase the parts of the eyes that would be covered, because things like that bother me. If you don't mind it, you could always try coloring it different ways and see what looks best.

go wild with your own preference, anon, i don't think there's an unspoken rule for this. i'd color the hair over it since that's 'realistic', but you can get some really cool shots going with the eye color instead and making it like see-through, which would work well with a really intense stare. try both and see which one you like best?
