Hopefully I'm not repeating the last Haven feedback you got, but personally, I really enjoy the mingle log and the way that your character has opportunities for CR right off the bat. I haven't had difficulties finding things for my character to do either. There was one traumatic-ish event right after I got in game which gave the opportunity for a lot of introspection, angst and drama, some info-sharing/net-working, but also more light-hearted silly stuff that is still reacting to the setting, thinking of the pillow fort post in particular. I am loving not only the breadth of my CR but also the range of character reactions and emotions I get to play out.

Ymmv though, especially depending on your character's personality type. Maybe look at the taken list for both games, see if there are any characters with similar personality traits to the one you want to app and follow their threads? That should give you an idea of what opportunities are open to you in both games.
