Could someone tell me about this game and the atmosphere? Good, bad, in between?

Been in the game for around two years now; it's very open to obscure canons and original characters and most people will backtag into forever since the playerbase is, I think, a little older. It's not hard to get CR either. AC usually isn't too hard to make as long as you have thirty comments across (at least) three threads or a post or what have you. For AC threads have no minimum length, so even if you're tagging with someone who's slow, as long as you're active you should be able to make AC, imo.

It's part slice of life, part wacky experiments, and a tiny bit of combat in the form of drafts here and there. People seem to advertise it as being plot heavy when, afaik, it never really has been plot heavy, though there is an overarching plot that's always been in place. Plus, it's not too terribly fast; a lot of posts will go up in the time during and just after events, but usually it's less than 5 new posts a day.

The game does have slow pockets here and there. The status quo doesn't change very much at all and things rarely get shaken up to permanent effect; usually things will happen, there's wackiness and the inevitable fall out, but everything goes back to normal soon, though I think the plot has been moved forward just a little recently.
