Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

One night, while sitting on the computer (god I was like 14), my sister did her normal "storm down the stairs and jump on the landing" routine she always did, except this time she landed on the dog. The dog yelped, mom charged downstairs in order to scream at her, followed by my dad who was on the phone with his boss telling her to shut up.

Which makes absolutely no sense to me, and it didn't at the time, either, but anyway. Sister gets sent upstairs, dad gets off the phone, they argue and he hits Mom with the phone. She falls down but then gets right back up in his face and tells him to do it again.

I nope'd out and went straight to my room.

There was also the time I smarted off to my dad one night and he launched one of those really sturdy, hard notebooks at my face in a fit of rage. It hit me above the eye, and I actually had to make an excuse about it at school to people because it was so noticeable. This wasn't a constant thing, but it got worse as I got older and when they eventually divorced it stopped. Probably tied to residual anger or something toward each other and it was taken out on us.
