Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

OCs who aren't able bodied or neurotypical?

Because the thread above got me curious about OCs of other minorities. Do you have any?

One of mine has been blind since birth. She's been a challenge to write, because there's so much in visual stimuli that I take for granted, and that I use to show something from a character's perspective that - obviously - I can't with her.

I have an OC who is mute and has cybernetic prosthetic legs from an accident. Never been able to find the right PB, but it's very interesting trying to work through how he communicates.

A lot of mine tend to be mute, for some reason. Mute or blind. I used to have one with multiple personality disorder, but quietly put him away because I was afraid I wasn't portraying him properly/didn't want to be offensive.

I don't know if it counts as not able bodied, but I have a human OC who is 93 years old with extensive burn scarring, a false left breast from a mastectomy, and a false right hand.

I've got an OC with
[Error: Irreparable invalid markup ('<a [...] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/subconjunctival_hemorrhage">') in entry. Owner must fix manually. Raw contents below.]

I've got an OC with <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marfan_syndrome>Marfan's syndrome</a> who also has high blood pressure and gets a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subconjunctival_hemorrhage">subconjunctivial hemorrhage</a> (warning, pictures of blood in the eyes if you are not into that stuff) in his eyes if he exerts himself too much. He also does not have the best vision, as he sees some things (like writing, etc.) as blurry and hard to make out.

He tells no one about this, though, covers up his eyes with sunglasses, and most people just think he's stupidly tall for no reason.

I played a mute OC for a while, but then I'm mute IRL, so it wasn't a big reach.
