Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

lantern corps game?

(Anonymous) 2013-08-13 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
i know it might be a bit late to get anything from this go-round, but would anyone be interested in a game based on the lantern corps mythos from dc comics?

if so, would you prefer a jarjam or an au? thoughts on having non-lantern spots? suggestions/thoughts in general? UvU

with an au it would be easy to au aliens or fantasy/alien worlds into it, but I think it would be difficult for the 90% of fiction that takes place on Earth, but you could do it

A jamjar could be like the rings seek out people from across the multiverse and bring them in, maybe something happened to that version of earth's corps?

yeah, my thought would be a jamjar is more user friendly (i haven't really ever seen much desire for AUs ever, either), and there's plenty of universe travel and shenanigans that it wouldn't be toooo much of a stretch.

there's always the good ol' gigantic multi-verse threat to use, or it could be an attack on the emotional entities/spectrum or something. 8|a imo there are a lot of ways to go about the whole "pulling people here to do stuff" aspect
