Why not, I've been interested in her anyway and it's a WIR party. Just pointers in general.

king candy anon here and oh my god my dreams are all coming true.

OKAY with vanellope she's... jaded, even though she looks so young. i mean, she's at least ten years older than she looks - though that's the same for everyone from sugar rush. they've been plugged in for a good while now, and i think king candy/turbo has been reprogrammed into their game for... most of that time. which means poor vanellope has been reduced to an outcast and a glitch for the majority of that time - so she's been kicked around by everyone and she's been denied the one thing she loves most: the ability to race. no one will take her seriously, everyone laughs at her and worst of all, their 'king' seems to be encouraging it (perhaps not openly, but he doesn't put a stop to any of it, does he?).

i guess it all depends on where you want to take her from, too - i mean, beginning of the movie where she doesn't trust ralph and uses his medal for her own personal gain, or the middle of the movie, where she trusts ralph and learns to drive etc etc etc.

the best thing about vanellope is despite everything the game's put her through, she's strong. she does what she wants, when she wants - and i think she would have tried racing a lot sooner if she could have gotten her hands on a coin-like object easily. she's sarcastic, she's down to earth and she's not afraid to tease - and her humour can be dark. i mean, look at the end! everyone who was ever mean to me shall be executed - i laughed, and she freaked everyone out to such an extent that even ralph was a bit like 'wait what'.

and as far as ralph and vanellope go, i really see their relationship as a little sister/big brother. they antagonise one another, they don't take each other too seriously but when they finally come to trust one another and work as a team, everything sort of... slots into place.
