I threw my pie for you

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I wonder if it's because more dwrp is overrun by Starks, which makes it tough to pick up any Lannisters ):

the lannisters might be harder to integrate into a game.

the only starks that i've seen en masse are aryas, who happens to be a runaway for the majority of the series, and sansas, who later on happens to be very set on taking on a certain role. that's both easy to set up in a game.

jaime needs something to do, tyrion needs to be played as cunning, witty, and intelligent (not to mention as someone who would talk to a lot of people), and cersei could be difficult to play all on her own, with her royal status meaning nothing.

but that's just my best guess.

this is what i see most of the time when lannisters try to play in a game that isn't a sex-based one:

usually there are a few starks running around at any particular game, and maybe an additional character or two from another unrelated house, but if the starks (and particularly authority figures like Robb) have already amassed significant CR in-game and have "supporters" (bannermen) there, the reaction of most of the playerbase then tends to be negative towards the lannisters. i've seen this happen more than once, and every time the lannister ends up dropping because they didn't want the negative CR to start out with.

protip: if you're going to rp as a lannister, and /particularly/ as Cersei, be prepared for others in-game not to like you even if it's based on hearsay. it's just the way it is with this fandom, be it good or bad.

To be honest, if you app Cersei into a game and don't expect masses of negative CR to begin with, you're likely doing something wrong. That has nothing to do with how many Starks are or aren't in the game or the fandom itself, it's Cersei's fucking personality.

Though I know what you mean in regards to Starks and Lannisters (and I've never seen it happen the other way around, which proves your point in yet another way).
