aaah, thank you anon. this is exactly the type of thing i wanted - i really want to get into playing king candy somewhere, tho idk where. maybe gargleblasted? something that could be amusing as well as plotty??? idek

i asked this before as well, but what are your thoughts on how his lisp should be handled? i went waaaay overboard the first time i voice tested him so i might have to try again soon hhh

I am honestly not sure which game to suggest you, but given the tone, maybe Gargleblasted could indeed work as it's a comedic game by design. One challenge of the character could be when others get the attention he thinks he deserves. Someone is a child, or someone becomes known and well liked in the game, and King Candy will try to have him antagonized. Since the character is villainous in nature, this would be something you would have to communicate OOCly with other players if King Candy decides to take a target to gain attention.

I'll be honest, I watched Wreck It Ralph with the spanish latin-american dubbing and didn't know he had a lisp in the original version in english. That being said, given people don't seem to like typed out accents, you may be better off simply describing his lisp as a part of your OOC narration.

the other game i'm looking at is [community profile] adventuresofooo, as candy kingdom and sugar rush sound very similar! tbh i think that'll be the most fun to play out - he is obsessed with attention, and like the above anon said, he's likely to lash out if no one gives him what he feels is owed - even if it means pretending to be kindhearted vs himself. and yes, i'd definitely need to set up some sort of contact/permissions post for this guy. he seems so cute and cuddly but in reality he is... not...

honestly, the lisp is the one thing i'm really concerned about. my voice test was full of sththshthhst and i kind of regret it, despite how much he lisps. i've been looking for a canon clip on youtube for ages to show how he lisps with not too much success... he tends to lisp on hard s' rather than s' inside a word like messages or whatever.

I wouldn't do eye dialect especially since the sthsth stuff is distractingly contradictory (maybe just the th's if you really want to write out the lisp?)

i think the 'th' works better than the way i was doing it before, so thank you! i'm always stuck between writing it in brackets or not, but i feel like it's kind of an integral part of who he is, you know? i mean, turbo programmed himself to be cute and cuddly, and i think the lisp adds to that image but idk

Yeah, I guess since it's a false affectation, it's kind of a special case. Good luck with whatever you decide to do tho!
