Badly's an adverb

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

i've had this happen to me too? it's not strange.

someone bumps into you, apologizes, and then kinda just pats/touches your arm as they walk off

seriously. how sheltered and anti-social do you have to be to not realize older people do this all the time? it's not weird unless you're a troll who never leaves their cave and doesn't have to maneuver themselves away from another person on a daily basis like normal people.

I do it because I feel like it shows the other person that there are no hard feelings. Even if they're the one that bumped me, a friendly exchange of pats after apologies is like: "We cool?" "We cool."

Of course, if the other person doesn't do it I don't think anything bad, either. That's just how some people are. But I definitely don't mind a quit arm pat.

the kind that you get from having a job where you could possibly knock glass dishes over if you don't tap people when you're passing by and in the way? older people do it all the time.

sorry if your feelings are hurt because a stranger wasn't hitting on you, but it's a common thing here.

did the bump occur on that side? because it's seriously just a thing people do. if the area is innocent enough, they just rub it to get the blood flowing again in case you're sore from the bump, then they go on their merry way. besides, you exchanged one-two words earlier, you're not perfect strangers. she might have felt just walking away would have been coming off too cold.
