rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. No, it wasn't! I didn't even think about it. Is there a problem with the names being similar?

i personally don't think it matters. the names are similar, but the games are so different that i can't see it being a problem.

i personally don't mind, but i know the rp world puts a lot of stock in originality. which isn't to say you intentionally made it sound similar, because obviously you didn't! but if you remember the big stink about the new setting being similar to other horror games just because it's also set in a city... and the more recent complaints that beta was similar to other horror games...

i'm probably just being overly cautious, but i worry about people finding anything to complain about. :(

Yes, I remember well, haha. But I can assure you that any resemblance we have to other games is purely coincidental.

Being overly cautious is fine, though! If you ever think we're straying too close to another game's ideas, you can always talk to us on the mod contact page or file a complaint. Again, we're not actively taking from other games (like I have time to stalk anyone else's OOC comm, haha), but we do use lots of common horror tropes, so sometimes it seems that way. We'd be happy to explain the inspiration behind anything we do!

tbh considering you just told us the inspiration and it's not even in the same ballpark as Zodion, whose inspiration is kind of obvious, I don't have a problem.
