Badly's an adverb

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

i got bitten at work today and i got kind of spooked about the blood, not to the point of panicking or crying or anything but i got kind of overly loud and laughed too much and i'm a little embarrassed

and nobody made a big deal so i didn't either but this is the first time it's happened and i'm feeling super paranoid about infection (it's already been cleaned and iodined to shit)

i just want to stop obsessing over this so i can go to sleep

please pat my butt

I literally risk contracting zoonotic diseases everyday at my job. I'm fairly sure I'm going to have to get dewormed next week.

You are not cut out for this job srry2say

don't listen to the anons. from one fellow neurotic to another, i know it's sometimes worth working somewhere even if you risk something like this setting off your anxiety. i haven't working in that kind of environment, but i have worked a fulfilling but high stress job that would occasionally send me into a panic attack

that said: it's okay anon. you'll be fine, and don't even worry about what everyone thought of you at work. it'll blow over. things usually do.

<3 have love from a non-meanie anon

i didn't wanna get into it since engaging with them on a genuine level really just eggs them on but yeah basically everything you said

i love my job

i've also been doing similar work for a year, so it's not like i'm shocked that this happened or anything

but this job in particular is new and i do worry what ppl think and it was a dumb rookie mistake and startling and it sure bled a lot for how little the cuts are

so yeah like i said i spooked a bit

anyway thanks man <3

Lmao I work with severely handicapped people and thought you got bit by a person. The fact you could work with animals didn't even cross my mind but I was like "dude no one cared you got bit? That should be a behaviour people care about because it needs to be worked on like whoa." Also in case you didn't know if you're ever bit again and they get a grip, push into their mouth with your hand don't pull away. It forces them to release their hold and minimizes damage where when you pull you're basically guaranteeing extra injury.

kesdgjhkdh lmao no it was definitely an animal!!!! i grabbed his head and popped his mouth back open pretty easily. and then i stood there and watched it bleed because ~*~anticoagulant saliva~*~.

i would actually be miles more freaked out if it had been a human, haha.

for the record, in the cold and less neurotic light of day, it looks fine. i was mainly concerned cuz he got me right on the knuckle which is just not a good place to get bit, but it's just a little red and sore. lord knows if it had been a cat bite it would be oozing pus by now.
