Idk about the other anon but I am a bystander who has been tracking Ads out of curiosity. I wanted to join a little while ago but the mod incident kind of turned me off.

I'm curios though. Are you defending the Frodo because you actually think they're a good player, or are you just whiteknighting?

mostly because this happens every so often, and no crit ever comes of it beyond anon saying that i ~deserve~ a better frodo

i genuinely enjoy threading with frodo, and trust me, i wouldnt be intervening if there was actual crit going on. i expressly stayed out of it for a bit just in case there was any crit to be had. but nothing ever comes of it.

at this point, hopefully, you wont blame me for being a little tired of it.

I saw this a few times and never posted but I'm going to come out and say that I agree. The Frodo in ads is just

there's nothing to him. Boring as shit. Every time I read one of their posts it's nothing but a bunch of purple prose and out of character bullshit. Which is a shame, since Frodo's one of my favorite character from the book.

I'm happy people are coming out with it now instead of just letting the bullshit pile grow bigger.

i thought i wouldn't like frodo because i don't care for frodo/sam and the mun seemed pretty intent on her frodo being in love with sam, but they pleasantly surprised me. they're a joy to interact with and so is sam.

Gau is at once hilarious and insightful, and I'm always drawn in while threading with him, no matter the mood. The player has a fun sense of humor as well as a deep understanding of the character, and the combination is to die for.

Raven has seemed quiet lately, but I've always admired the player's ICness and ability to let her grow while still keeping her core intact.

Lorne has been stunning so far and just a nice breath of fresh air for the game in general, I think.

Our Castiel is pretty damn amazing at breaking through all the negative Supernatural player stereotypes and just plays the character really well. Able to retain that insular, paranoid atmosphere of the show while still being open to all sorts of CR.

Unohana has stuck with the game through thick and thin, and I don't think they're mentioned much, but damn, a lot of this game would ICly fall into chaos without her there.

Duo is incredibly chatty and involved, both with cr in general and with plot/events, and it's really great to see someone be able to keep up with such a wild character so well.
