I want to get into rping Hetalia.

Where are good places to rp/who are good players to tag? Are there characters that are more well received than others?

Let me know too! I'm trying to get into the scene too!

Hello, and welcome to the RP side of the Hetalia scene, anon! I personally always like seeing new faces, especially nowadays when we have so many people leaving the fandom… but anyway, to answer some of your questions:

1. I believe Holly Heights has the largest cast as of right now, but you can find even more casts at this spreadsheet on Google Docs if that cast or game does not suit your preferences for any reason:

This fandom also has at least two dressing rooms on Dreamwidth at

nations and

aphetaliadr if that's more your speed, but the latter appears to be the more active one. The anon meme, which can be found at

aphanon_meme, is also another option if you're just looking for low-pressure places to play right now, but like most anonymous sites, lurking to get a feel for the atmosphere is definitely a good idea.

2. Like most fandoms, the main characters are probably your best bet if you're after easy CR (feel free to correct me if that's not want you meant when you said well-received, I'm bad with words sometimes), so any of the Axis Powers or Allies characters would probably be a good idea - but other fan favorites such as Prussia could work, too.

Good is subjective but just use common sense when playing.

Avoid bringing sensitive subjects into RP. It's also best to avoid characters playing from sensitive time periods in my experience. I have never seen a Nazi Germany that wasn't offensive.

TBH, try to see if you have any friends who play hetalia. If you use plurk, I'd ask there. If you can't find any, I'm sure some anons here wouldn't mind museboxing. I would say most characters are well received? It really depends who you're playing with.

If you really want someone to musebox off, I'll deanon and we can work something out if you're not too shy. I play a variety of characters from Hetalia, so hopefully I can have at least one nation that would bounce off whichever Hetalia character you're interested in playing.
