rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. I have never read ASOIF so I can't really say, but Fevre Dream is certainly a far shorter book than any of those. It's set on an old steam boat and thus has a fair bit of time spent on the boat and the river, and I remember loving the boat itself as much as any of the characters.

Honestly, though, it's been nearly 20 years since I read it, so I can't remember lots of specifics, just that it has stuck with me as an unusual gem in the genre of vampire fiction.
