Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.

This is a very odd idea that I've been playing with.

It's a game that will be set into several blocks of time, each one maybe two months and representing a single day. Each block will have completely different characters and most likely different players. The rule will probably be no consecutive playing of the same character from block to block regardless of character, with some sort of limit on how long between the same player to character too. There would always be a character limit, but it would go up and down based on the scenarios, all of which would be different but bound by a common theme. Semi-generic DWRP Plot God (although I would probably learn towards sci-fi) summons characters to fulfil a goal it cannot. Whether they succeed or not, their time limit is one day. Wouldn't always be the same Plot God and sometimes groups would be competing. Goals will vary in their style, some action based, some mystery, some doing things like uniting two enemies tribes or guarding something important. Repeating characters from the same player would be a possible thing, just secondary to the new batch every time idea.

Because getting people to write an app for two months of play is shitty, players can use any app they've already written (but with new samples) for any game as well as a really basic app we'd have for characters where that doesn't work. The temporary play style would hopefully encourage players to have KILLED FOR REAL moments and other drama.

seems neat but also sounds like too much work imo

and would obviously end in wank

The lot of work thing I can see but I can't see where the potential for more wank than most games would come from.
