rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

i think if you were going to do it without losing the spirit of the podcast you'd have to be extremely good. considering the fandom i'm not optimistic.

As someone who's aware of this simply by seeing its name pop up, how is the word spreading? Because if it's along the tumblr Homestuck lines...yeah it's doomed.

it's more that the fandom seems to want it to be the next supernatural

I.....yeah. I hate to be one of those hipster garbage people who are all 'this was better when it was underground' but hoo boy the fandom was so much nicer when it wasn't sprawled across the entirety of tumblr. Like I'm pretty live and let live, experience media however you want to etc, but Night Vale fandom is rapidly turning into a circlejerk of fanon over canon. Which idk some people enjoy so good for them?

yeah, that's fine for them, but if someone actually apped eldritch horror cecil to an rp i was in i would be mad peeved
