rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. the rotating idea is interesting too and it could be once a month or every few months during app cycle, but that sounds like it might end up being tedious to cycle through setting descriptions and everything.
another aspect could be training grounds? to go with what above anon said about playing out becoming a pilot. going through neural testing, compatibility testing, etc etc whatever it might entail
also voting up the au aspect!!
as for subplots-- taking a page from godzilla but maybe developments like pregnant kaiju anomalies/nest of babies? glitches in the system regarding jaegers or pilots and their co-pilots, infestation of kaiju fleas, maybe even the occasional weirdly quiet months where there aren't any kaijus and everyone gets cabin fever.
