Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

In addition to Detective and Gotham City Sirens, reformed Riddler showed up in a few other places, most notably big crossover comics/events like Trinity, Countdown, and Battle for the Cowl. In my opinion, the best event he showed up in would have to be Gotham Underground.

As for excellent Riddler stories in general, there are a few older ones I'd definitely look into, such as Dark Knight, Dark City (Batman #452-454). There's also a pretty interesting post-Hush story arc involving him and Poison Ivy called Low (Detective Comics #797-799).

Hope these help!

THIS ANON SPEAKS THE TRUTH also hi I'm gonna drop some of my fav recs if you don't mind.

Green Arrow #12, #34, #35, #36
Detective Comics Annual #8
Catwoman: When In Rome (also Loeb/Sale's stuff in general because he does have a role in The Long Halloween and Dark Victory even if it's a small one)
Harley Quinn #6 and #7 if you want to see how his relationship with Harley pans out since they're on relatively good terms in Gotham City Sirens
The Riddle Factory
Knightfall
Joker's Asylum: The Riddler
Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #185, #186, #187 (super important for the insight it gives into his past and mental disorder!)
Run, Riddler, Run

Now I'm probably going to get stoned for this, but seeing as how reformed!Riddler canonically suffers from amnesia, it's to your discretion whether or not you want to go through his entire reading list because you may be opting to play him as not being able to remember some of these events. I recommend that you honestly make an effort to because a) these are some great stories, b) it gives you better insight as to how this guy thinks, acts and talks, and c) you might feel like having him regain his memory somewhere down the line, so it's good to keep your options broad!

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
