rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

the manga version of the series in general is a lot more of a cut-and-dry, simplistic story. how to explain it (i'm not good with these things but i've read some stuff)... like, it's one of the major criticisms that's hurled at the manga. instead of utena's actions really being inspected from the point of feminism, or anthy being a morally grey character, it's more about utena being a typical hero and anthy being a typical damsel in distress. i think that's a pretty accurate description of the manga.

agreed. the manga is more understandable but flatter, and more straight-up shoujo. the male characters are presented as nicer and the female ones outside of utena and anthy are more...unfortunately presented. also no f/f.
