Was going to ask who but then checked out the test drive...maybe they were trying to go with a new hook instead of the same old, same old?

the naked in a sheet bothers me a lot less than the guy who thinks he's playing a new character as a shrink to be honest. one's a kind of thing that might happen with an oversight or could be a minor misreading. the other seems to not have read at all.

Agreed. A simple reading of things would explain that you don't come in at a profession job level--if they had put something that suggested they had been in Ariel for a while and had earned the position would have made it not so glaring.

they didn't say the character was new. they could have been there for a while and earned their privileges. they could be operating illegally for all we know! it's not like people don't ever ignore licensing rules in the real world.

they can't come up with a shred of indecency that requires you ignore the shit out of the game's settings rules, without so much as a half-assed acknowledgement that you're aware of them? really?

As one of the completely new people who did map-wandering... I didn't even think it'd be unoriginal. I didn't know what other people were going to be doing when I made my tag (I didnt look at other responses or anything) and now I feel bad haha. It just never crossed my mind that that'd be an easy way out type of thing!

please ignore anon with a bug up their ass, map and wandering gets done because it makes sense for the context and you will not be ostracized in the game for doing something that makes sense even if bug anon would like to put on an anon cap and come complain

Don't even worry about it. When the whole premise of the meme is "You're a new arrival to a city you've never been to before, here's a map, good luck", well...you're going to have quite a bit of map-wanderers.

Seems like a petty thing to bitch about, especially since it's just an open meme that has no real impact on the events in the actual game.

Then again, I realize this is an anon meme and petty bitching is par for the course.

well, it can have impact on events in game since you can keep the cr you make if you app and are accepted.

Maybe this is my misunderstanding of the setting, but couldn't naked in a sheet be possible if that's the canon moment he was brought into Ariel from? His other clothes and possessions are waiting for him in his apartment, but he's not there yet.

I haven't read the tag, but wouldn't that be feasible? Or that the character refused the Ariel-supplied clothes? It's not like Ariel has public indecency laws.

this one makes sense to me and isn't a big deal. the psych thing? not even close.

As someone in the game, I wouldn't think it anything weird to see someone come in from orientation with whatever they were wearing in their canon point they'd been taken, whether it be nude, a sheet, some kind of military dress, or some sparkly gown from a ball.

They HAVE the means to dress differently, but that's no pushed on them from the moment of arrival.

yeah, that's kind of what i was saying. it's ariel. wandering around naked is not a thing even without that.

the psychologist is a little harder for me to swallow without at least some kind of note in the narration. might be fine, i don't know, but it threw me pretty hard.
