I don't have a whole essay to offer or anything anon, but I think Mikasa is a character that would really benefit from knowing how to balance her practicality and her more human side. She's extremely capable and needs to exude this sort of easy strength to seem IC, but you can't ignore that she's still got her own sentimentalities (though it only affects her judgements a few times, these moments do have some serious consequences). I think the major draw to the SnK characters is that they do have aspects that make them human and imperfect, no matter how strong they are. The balance comes in not making her seem weak, since you really don't see her being mopey or sad despite her background. Maybe get her involved in situations where she can save people, or show how level-headed she can be despite the situation. Focus on developing some cr that is deep enough that she'd care enough to do something unexpected, because that's one of the major ways to not stagnate as a stoic character.

I'm not sure if you planned on doing memes or taking her to a game, but I imagine one of the major challenges in playing her in the latter would be figuring out what to do without an Eren. Regardless of how you feel about him, her devotion to him is pretty serious stuff, and for her to grow super distant from him would be difficult to justify. Clearly she can live without his presence, but she should still keep him in her thoughts.
