Mods can confirm that Murder is not a mod and were not aware of any issues with Murder when the app came in. Would someone be willing to comment back or PM with a rundown?

Overall, Murder is an abrasive player. She highlanders to a ridiculous degree and wants her characters to be the head of every single plot they're in, while simuntaneously making it so her characters never lose. She will not accept any form of crit. She absolutely REFUSES to accept anon/sock account crit, and will be aggressive and overly defensive towards you if you crit her unanon. Murder's openly stated that she won't app to games with mandatory or anon-enabled hmds. She regularly blends ic and ooc and will be passive aggressive or downright rude to you through your characters or through ooc contact if you don't agree with her. Aside from that, she regularly emphasizes and overanalyzes aspects of her characters that don't show up in canon and/or make people uncomfortable-the most notorious example of this is her plurk about Roxanne Ritchie's vagina. A while ago, she made a rp "sex survey" that was very skeevy and completely inappropriate. When people call her out on this, she continues to do it anyway.

She's permabanned from multiple games-I can think of c&c and Teleios off the top of my head, but I'm certain there are more.

After this criticism was given, she made a public plurk, publicly shaming those who gave her crit, essentially throwing a huge hissy fit. The next link provides a much more indepth explanation of what happened before and after the crit in question.

kicked someone out of a game when presented with that person's past history, you mean. the same thing could have been pmed to them too because it doesn't matter where it came from.

If anon signed into a sock and pmed the mods the same information, would you approve of it then?

there's a lot said about Murder and some of it's got some truth to it. But she is a lot of fun to play with, and even if she weren't, a preemptive ban for "abrasiveness" is a dick move.

i don't have a horse in this race, but from what i can tell, she was asked to provide a history of her past rp experiences upon joining and...clearly failed to mention things like "i've been permabanned from other games for lashing out and refusing to take crit." or the associated blow-ups. all she shared were wake's hmds, which are pretty useless because you never get actual crit. all those would prove is that when it comes her way, she can take asspats like a champ.

so, my best guess is she was booted for failing to disclose this stuff in the first place. and that incredibly stupid letter she sent back to them seems to suggest it was a pretty good call, since god knows she'd probably pull the same attitude with the first player to say anything at all negative about how she plays.

granted, even if that's not why she was banned, i'd say mods kind of have a right to recognize problem players and keep them out of their games for no other reason than they have a clear history of problematic behavior. it usually means it's going to happen again, and if they don't feel up to taking that chance, they don't have to.
