Yer wonderful

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Re: who DOESNT want castmates?

depends on character for me. i play one or two that would be nigh unplayable or dangerously self-destructive or other similar things should they be without any (certain) castmates in a game too long, and before you ask no i can't sub in cross-canon CR for them because of Reasons. whether it's stupid hangups on That One Person or an unhealthy obsession or emotional dependency on specific others or whatever.

of course it also could depend on settings; i'm not throwing my power of friendship, soft-spoken, pushover-unless-it's-their-friends protag into an idk survival horror without at least one reliablish castmate to back them up from the get go, at least long enough for them to get their bearings and adjust to the game in a way that doesn't have them being a total drag to play.

but i'm also perfectly capable of lone canon warrioring it up. i have a couple i'd prefer to play this way, just for the relative anonymity and headgames and a couple more where it wouldn't matter either way. i just think it suits certain characters better rather than a blanket thing. some characters have baggage that makes playing out the effects of the baggage, in a panfandom setting with both castmates and non-castmates, more fun.
