My ambition for a cast cannot be stopped! Who's around? :D

I've got a Xiahou Dun, Lu Meng, Ma Dai, Bao Sanniang, Zhang Liao and Sun Jian muse, though I don't play them in any games at the moment. Who do you play anon and are you eyeing any games? I'm super keen on a cast too.

Oh wow! You have a ton of Dynasty Warriors muses. I used to have the Qiao Sisters as muses before, but I settled for a very ambitious King of Wei.

i want to be around because motherfucking dynasty warriors bitch, but i don't have the wherewithal to read through the actual rotk and also don't own/haven't played through any of the games beyond 6.

START NOW, ANON! I'm definitely getting DW8 when it comes out in N/A but as for trudging through the novel, cheat. Watch Red Cliff or other RotK inspired series/movies. They give you a somewhat colorful look at what Three Kingdoms is most likely about, minus some of the sensationalism...

Or you could read Ravages of Time. That one is a GREAT RotK inspired manga.

In any case, I got through Romance of Three Kingdoms during my senior year in high school. It was a difficult read but I managed to achieve it.

lmao haha i want to read rotk because the snippets i've read have just been hilarious, but damn is it long. i will definitely consider cheating though because i want to play from dw FOR THE GLORY OF WUUUUUUUUUU

Romance of Three Kingdoms is pretty interesting. It has it's boring moments because it's TOO FUCKING LONG, but it has some priceless comedy in there. Or at least stuff in there that I thought was pretty funny.

you're not alone, i thought a bunch of stuff in there was pretty funny too. such as the line 'this appealed to cao cao greatly' when talking about him razing a village and stealing their food.

don't let not having played past a certain point stop you from playing, anon! one of the fun things about playing koei is the differing canon points everyone can come from, and that includes the games. being "up to date" doesn't mean a lot when the majority of the games don't have direct connections!

also don't let not having read rotk stop you, dw is only based on it, so there are lots of inconsistencies there too.

This exactly. ROTK and other Three Kingdoms media is fun and adds to your enjoyment of the time period, but isn't necessary for RPing from it. And each DW game is different so you can pick any to play from with ease.

I have a Lu Xun and a Liu Shan account as well as a desire to pick up Xu Shu once DW8 comes out (adorable scruffy, what can I say). Hopefully time will actually be on my side when I app.

I'll have to look into that. I already have one strategist promised for another game, but if I feel like I can juggle it, I'll definitely look at this one too!

I have a bunch of accounts mostly for Jin and Shu kingdom characters, and once DW8 comes out I'm sure I'll be getting more muses. Looking for a place to toss at least one of them but I haven't decided who and where yet.

Go for Exsilium! It has a war-story plot that would fit best for your character roster. Besides, the Cao Cao-mun is very friendly and cheerful despite playing such a brooding and scary guy. lol
