The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

You're right, I'm arguing from a different perspective and should have laid that out clearly in my initial comment. Thanks for responding again and understanding where I'm coming from.

You're also right that one comment isn't hard, and you've motivated me to quit being a lazy jerk and tag so the other players aren't being short-changed on the "room full of opinions" dynamic of the event, even if I let them know I'm ducking out after a few comments.

You're not so bad, anon. For the record I hope that you do stick around, because you seem genuinely interested in staying cool, and I know if I was in your room I'd be grateful that you just stuck your head in.
