No, but it tends to be the majority of posts on the network/happens with close cr and ignoring those posts can either be a pain in the ass and/or very ooc.

I'm not the anon above but I agree with them and that would be a shitty solution to the problem.

so the solution is to just... screw over anyone that's actually interested in the event and stamp your feet to not have it rather than you being the mature person and ollie'ing for a bit out while others have their fun?

curses don't always tickle everyone's pickle. that's part of playing in amat. if you get one you're not fond of, you fucking deal with it, don't sit there and shit on everyone else's parade.

I was actually in the game last time we did a sexswap, I was just saying that it's not super easy to ignore. I wouldn't take a hiatus to avoid it, but I would do what I could to make sure I had AC without relying on the event (which I usually do anyway), I was just pointing out that a curse/event like that is much harder to ignore than some out there. I wasn't saying MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY because I know that's not how it works in games, especially of amat's size.

You really don't have to be such an asshole about it. I was simply pointing out that with curses like that - especially with the sexswap where posts are literally OH MY GOD I'M SUDDENLY THE WRONG GENDER THIS IS SO HORRIFYING/SCARY/WEIRD etc over and over again - are harder to avoid than others.

Taking a timeout sounds like a heck of a lot better solution than demanding that everything in a game of hundreds should be catered to your whims and needs or be damned for not doing so. You will need to learn this because this fact applies to literally all collective activities you'll get into for the entirety of your life.

Don't worry, I don't expect hundreds of people to do what I want just because I don't want a sex swap event, you'll have to learn that sometimes people voice their discontentment without the intention of having everyone bend over backwards for them since that applies to all those activities too.

But I do think it's funny/cute that you got that impression, and that you got defensive and stuff.

I never said that, you strawman aficionado. You gave off that impression because you agreed with a post that wasn't far from that sentiment at all. If you'd expressed your points better like you did above, no one would've assumed that you were upset at the very idea of something that didn't correlate perfectly with your own tastes being suggested. But whatever, it's pretty pointless to argue now that you've better explained yourself, so let's keep it at that and move on.

I didn't think I was dealing with babies big enough to care that one person wasn't slobbering at their idea of a tired event and felt like saying so.
