Bless your heart

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

what i hated:
12 seconds zombiefication
that nice timing phone call
jerusalem's fall

what i wanted to see:
battle of yonkers
cannibals in canada
paris underground tunnels

i guess it's okay. sucks if you want to play anyone other than brad pitt tho. the movie is basically about him and only him

i want to play segen

actually no i don't, but you COULD play segen. you could make a tentative case for, like, the young doctor guy that's everyone's last hope (god does he even have a name?), or thierry, or his wife, but i can't see them being interesting to RP or to RP off of. only gerry and segen would be interesting outside of the context of the movie, and even then you'd have to find aspects other than "able to survive a zombie apocalypse" that would make them interesting in a game.

also, fuck that nice timing phone call. fuck ittttt. and jerusalem filled me with such dread. i hated it, but i think it was well done.

okay i'll give you segen. but that doctor lol why would you make a case for the doctor he slips and dies he's basically in for two minutes tops

that phone call was stupid as fuck but it happens often enough in real life that you can't complain.

on the contrary, i think jerusalem did not make sense. it looked pretty, but it did not make sense.
1. there were people outside, trying to get in, yes? that's why we see groups of people from the helicopter view.
2. there were also zombies outside. they congregated to that wall pretty fast for them to be too far away.
so:
1. why did the zombies not attack the people waiting outside?
2. if they did attack, the 12 second zombification would mean they've get a horde of zombies in just a few minutes. jerusalem should have already been overrun
3. are you telling me they've continuously been letting people enter and this is the first time some nobodies start singing in happiness?

i could actually get amusement out of playing a character with the characteristics they gave him! i say it all convoluted like that, and not just "out of playing him", because yeah, they didn't give us nearly enough actual history for him to be an appable character. BUT they gave us a charismatic guy who is highly intelligent, a little crass, and apparently cocky. that's an appealing combination to me -- it would probably work better in an OC though, and not a canon character you'd have to fill to the brim with headcanon, unless it was a psl or a game where no one gives a shit.

is that even what we're talking about. i don't think so. i just liked the doctor, ok.

1. there were people outside, but they were behind fences. there were long, like, tunnels of fences, leading from who-knows-how-far-away, and funneling toward jerusalem. so i'm okay with that part. although admittedly, i would think the zombies would be more attracted to the people they could SEE behind the fences, than some singing people behind a giant wall. does sound attract them more than sight??
1-3. it hadn't been all that long since it started! it could conceivably be the first time someone tried singing poorly into a mic.
