(Anonymous) 2013-06-26 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)Nearly all abortion done after 20 weeks are for extenuating circumstances.. They are very rare. Week 20+ abortions account for only 1.6% of all abortions and are usually done when the fetus is severely deformed or threatens the life of the mother. They are expensive and few clinics perform them. You cant just casually walk down and get one. These abortions happen to women who want their child and are tragic. Plus as for safety, abortions are safer than giving birth.
