I feel like Ruby was more popular closer to when S4 aired, and now people have just... forgotten about her. Or they play Meg instead.

Now considering playing Ruby on principle.

Assuming that someone is just playing Meg instead of Ruby makes no sense to me. They're both sarcastic demons who have allied with the Winchesters at some point, but the similarities kind of end there.

I'll agree that they both have the snark going on, but fundamentally they have different goals (Meg post season five, anyway) so I'm not sure if that's totally on the point. I know plenty who play Ruby who wouldn't pick up Meg, and visa versa. Not sure if this idea comes from them both being female demons with attachments to TFW or what.
