the only thing I can think is that hammond did somehow prove yogi innocent, but the mentally unstable act had to be a thing anyway so he wasn't somehow held responsible for what happened (whether it be wrongful death, or the fact that he did get into a fight with Gregory and a gun was involved which ended up leading to someone's death?) regardless? It's really unclear honestly.

I played Gregory for a while and I always hoped the specifics would never come up lmao. then again, I didn't have to worry too much since it's really only the trial stuff that doesn't make sense, what actually happened in the elevator is pretty solid.
