But when you're not a rabid fan and you're someone who enjoys this season so far, you're SOL? idk, I know the world isn't fair or whatever. I honestly just came here to rant a little about how the 'sane' part of fandom trashes the show to distance themselves from the crazy tumblr fanbase. Same thing happened to the BBC Sherlock fans, iirc.

But since you brought it up, I don't really get the love interest issue. In Derek's case, yes, that seems OOC for me but I'm waiting to see how they'll spin it before I pass judgement. That's why I don't get everyone freaking out about the spoilers. This stuff hasn't even happened yet, there could be crazy circumstances (or Blake could be a Mary Sue, but the show hasn't blatantly disappointed me yet, so I'm holding out hope).

For a character like Stiles, who is constantly jealous of Scott's relationship with Allison, openly desiring of sex, and has a huge part of his character centered around his crush on Lydia? I honestly think that him getting a different love interest is a good thing for his character. It means he's moving on with his borderline stalkery obsession with Lydia and growing as a character. Even if people don't like seeing him in a relationship in general, I feel like it's a good progression of character development.

Yeah, characters are hooking up, but that's what teenagers do. The couples in my high school swapped around so much that my head was spinning by Junior year. Now, if they have Chris start banging Ms. Morell or something then yeah, I'll have a big problem. But for now, it just seems like teenage antics to me.

But I didn't come here to argue, and I can definitely understand the sentiment. I'm not a huge fan of my favorite characters getting fridged or moving on through using people for sex, but I'm still excited for all the other stuff that's to come this season, and I still enjoy watching it. I guess it's just ymmv.

That's the thing though. Not every teenager does hook-up with someone. Not every teenager has sex.

I have nothing against Stiles being in a relationship. However he's going from being that one guy who essentially represented teenagers who don't get any action to getting two love interests and i'm pretty sure his sex scene is next episode.

And these new female characters literally just seem to be coming in to be the love interests.
And it seems to be a big deal in this season for the sake of 'growing up'.

That just doesn't appeal to me.

So basically you want Stiles to stay single so you can project your lonely, relationship-less teen experience onto him?

You are aware that the original idea on the show between Jeff and Dylan was that Stiles would never be kissed, right?

So what if someone wants him to stay single. Have you seen how awkward those make-out scenes are to watch?
If you want to see Dylan getting it on there's a film dedicated to it.

Because I care either way if he's single or not. I don't like Stiles so I couldn't give a shit.

I'm just rolling my eyes that it boils down to people projecting themselves onto the character. That's pathetic.

I'm sorry, but not everyone has sex in high school, for various reasons--even if they *want* it.

Stiles was jealous of the relationship--and he's held out for one girl, however unhealthy as that is. I'm sorry, I just dont see him jumping into bed with the first girl who gives him the time of day. And if it happens, well, I'm just not interested in that.

Its unrealistic to have everyone fucking on the show. Just as unrealistic as it would be to have everyone virginal.

Just as unrealistic as those freshmen were, you mean? I'm sorry, I love this show, but that was fucking ridiculous.

LOL god I just. I didn't know many SENIORS that looked like that, let alone freshmen.
