Your character's a guy in a threesome with a woman and another guy. They've smutted it up before, no big deal. All the sudden the other guy starts ordering yours around like demanding to have his cock sucked. Your character has never expressed any interest in being subby before, so this is kind of out of left field. Your character does have an established D/s relationship with someone else with the collars and whole shebang, but the characters involved in this particular scene know nothing about that and it's kind of weirding him out.

Secondary Character Venting

So, I play a character who, within the context of their canon story, fills the primary function of supporting and providing a listening ear to the main character.

Surprise- I Apped them into a game where that main is not present because Id like to play with exploring attention to some of their more rounded traits that don't get so much screentime.

So sure, I'll form CR with you, and sure, my character will be helpful to yours - its in their nature, after all.

But please please please, don't expect me to always, always make everything all about YOUR character. Rp is still a two way street. I don't want to be pidgeonholed into the support role always and forever, and it would be nice if your character could think to provide a little give and take attention to mine.

a question, anons, because i'm curious.

at what point would you consider someone "active" in a fandom? as opposed to being a casual fan and/or someone who just isn't into the fandom stuff. where do you think the line is between "someone who enjoys the canon" and "member of the fandom"?

To me a member of the fandom implies they contributed to it in some way, be it art, icons, RPing from it, fanfic, fan characters, whatever. Or if not an actual contributor, then at least someone with their finger firmly on the pulse of such things who will distribute it instead.

A casual fan, though, likes the source material, but you wouldn't really know unless you got to chatting about it. They might be a big fan of the work, but they can't claim to be part of the fandom if they have no idea what other fans are doing.

One was posted back when all the games started moving to DW, but I have no idea where it is anymore and I wonder why a game-directory isn't being linked somewhere at the top of the list because I find that better to find a game with rather than throwing out things in atp.

Depends what you're looking for.

Route is bigger, more active, and more well-established-- but also it's had a lot of time to settle into a rhythm and some people don't care for that.

United One is newer and smaller, and that can be nice for people intimidated to jump into a big game without knowing anybody. But on the other hand, it might not last. Time will tell!
