rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. considering that i play alongside some non-awful fantrolls (and fankids) (and occasionally fanturians, fanVUX, etc) in a sburb-based OC driven setting

i am pretty okay with it!

i think what's important in a fantroll is that they aren't a power fantasy, because it's pretty clear that alternia disempowers all castes and persuasions of trolls, even though it may not seem like it at first glance

but even a murderous bullying jerk like vriska would be perceived as ~too weak~ by ~societal standards~ (from her own mouth) when she has been killing lots and lots of people for a very long time, because once she was kind of not always murderous at a lowblood, and peeps like eridan and equius who strive to "fit" their caste are treated like creepy weirdos when actually talking to other people

(not to mention the apparently enforced ~~White Man's~~ Highblood's Burden on Beforus and its counterpart patronizing of the ~poor short-lived~ lowerbloods, when clearly Shit Does Not Actually Work Like That)

which seems to indicate that societal standards for trolls are just as unreachable and pointless and stupid as human ones

so even a "good" troll, one who acts as best befits their caste in alternian society, should be oppressed by the system of violence and unreachable standards and all the other pointless shit that goes with being a troll

me! but i know the thought isn't shared in my game unfortunately
