rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. A while ago, I had an idea for a Cabin in the Woods sort of game.

It'd be a really unique format, in the sense that:
-- It'd be short-term, like two months per round, and it'd repeat, just like in canon.
-- Each round would need... well, four people, but I could stretch it to 6 maybe in some cases? Point being, really really limited shit.

So at it's smallest, it'd be like four people every two months, and that's really obscenely small. :|a So maybe I could do two or three rounds at once, that'd be doable.

Everyone shows up at the cabin, goes downstairs, and the mods would provide a list of items in the basement that the characters could fuck with but not what monsters they'd release, and the group would have to choose one OOCly before it'd be accepted as an IC thing. Then they'd get terrorized by those monsters. The plot would more or less follow the movie, but as if Marty didn't find a way downstairs. As in, the scientists win. It's pretty 'rocks fall, everyone dies'--it'd be less about ~winning the game~ and more about the experience of RPing out that sort of inevitable-doom horror setting.

I can definitely see some problems with this, like:
-- What if somebody's inactive? Especially ~the virgin~. That kind of ruins the effect. We could possibly kill the inactive one off early, but idk.
-- To that effect, how is it decided who dies and when? I'm sure the mods would say "SOMEBODY DIES HERE" but whether they choose who (which could cause problems) or let the players decide (which could cause problems), I'm not sure yet.
-- It could get repetitive without some twists thrown in, although I can definitely think of some twists that can happen.

THOUGHTS, YOU GUYS? Idk if I'll even do it, it's just been kicking around in my head for a bit. So thoughts, ideas, suggestions, those are all welcome.
