rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

This is lame and whiny, and I know my characters aren't big extroverts, and while I'm perfectly active, I'm slow and tag around more than I make my own posts, so I get it, I do

but I check these posts in the vain hope that one of my pups will be someone's fave and they never are

I know it's dumb, but it makes me sad

I'm sorry, anon <3 I would guess that maybe you haven't had close CR with the handful of people who make the favorites-posts here? But that doesn't mean you're not adored and enjoyed. I bet plenty of people enjoy playing with you, but maybe they aren't necessarily the people active on this comm to drop some love.

Please feel better, anon. There are a lot of awesome characters that don't get name-dropped - it doesn't mean we love them less <3

Thanks, anon, this is nice to hear.

It doesn't bother me too often, I always try to remind myself that when I have a solid thread, it tends to go on for a long time (this is one reason I don't make many posts, I am always so backed up on tags!) and the CR that comes out of it tends to be very rewarding, and that's the important thing.

I do wish that some of the things that I do with people that ~~I feel~~ are thematically very interesting weren't so thread-buried and subtle, not for recognition's sake (well...maybe a little, I'm only human ^^;) but because I really feel like other people would enjoy them if they knew they were happening. But then it feels too self-aggrandizing to be like 'hey everyone you should read this eighty-comment thread you're not a part of because there's something really subtly cool going on!' and let's be real, if I saw an eighty-comment thread between two characters, neither of which I had CR with, I probably wouldn't read it either without prompting.

So it goes unnoticed.

But hey, it's still fun to play, and that's still the most important.

I feel the same way too a lot of the time. :c I just figure it's the same couple of people who do all the namedropping, so.
