I was wondering when this was going to crop up, so I'll put in my two cents logged in to clear a few things up, even if it may be best, I'm aware, if I didn't comment at all.

Yes, that was a pants-on-head retarded move I've pulled in the past. I've fessed up publicly on Plurk a few days after it went down, and it's exactly this sort of thing I have in mind when I say I tend to get swept up in the heat of the moment. Instead of stepping back, take some time to cool off, and word things reasonably, I blew my top and said a lot of pretentious and unnecessary junk that was crass and uncalled for. This is why I emphasized in my app that I want issues about myself be brought up to my attention too, I want people to call me out for my shit when I do blunder. Because that happens, and it's the biggest fault I'm concerned about for taking up such a heavy position. Again, I have a personal concern post up on my personal journal, anyone who wants to discuss issues they have with me personally are more than welcome to comment anonymously or use a sock to get in touch with me. I have no intentions of excusing past blunders, only give my words - for however they may be worth at face value - that I will strive to stay even-headed, step back when I need to, and remain professional to the best of my capacity.

Bottom line: how I treated my Demeleier rejection and acted immediately after was disgusting. For what little it may mean, I PM'd the mod account a personal apology after I took the time to calm down, and I will endeavor to not act so rashly and explosively regarding anything in the future again. This is the one point of understandable public concern I wish to openly address.
