This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.

I have a friend who quit everything and dropped off the face of the internet for a bunch of personal reasons, and I'm pretty worried about how they're doing given some of the things I've heard through the grapevine or rumor mill or whatever you want to call it. They never put any sort of public contact info up or anything, but I happen to have their telephone number from the one time they shared it years ago. Would it be weird for me to just send them a text message, explaining how I got it, and asking if they're doing alright?

if they didn't put up public contact info, but there's a grapevine, there's a decent chance they put up private info and you didn't make the cut

I wouldn't. There's always a chance they jumped ship and created an alter-ego for a fresh start in RP. A lot of people seem to be doing that these days, if the anon comms are anything to go by. Or it might be a simple case of someone not wanting RP and persona lines crossed. Respect the departure.
