I keep forgetting it's one actress playing all the clones when I'm watching. Really impressed.

yeah tatiana maslany gives such a convincing performance for each of them and it kinda blows my mind when lately the episodes are like 50% just her talking to herself. all the praise she's been getting is what got me to even watch the show since cloning is kinda dull to me as premises go (nature v. nurture, amoral scientists, god's domain, etc. I don't have particularly high hopes for that part of the plot).

the way they compose the shots really help with the illusion too, like when they all meet for the first time or the one from this week where sarah's reaching for alison's glass. stuff like that so it's not all shot over the shoulder of a double is really cool.

I'm also kind of impressed by all the accents she's doing. They all sound totally different in terms of voice and tone and such.

I happened to go to a panel at a convention a couple weeks before the show premiered and they showed us the scene from the third episode where Sarah meets Cossima in the bar. That basically sold me. It was also neat hearing about how they do the clone scenes (there's a programmable rig involved as well as a double) and the fact that it takes about an hour and a half to switch between clones between hair, makeup and a mental break. And she has music and dances to get into the right mindset. That the crew joins in on.

And while they film clone scenes, the guy who plays Felix is off watching Fringe.
