Nobody flicks me in the butt without my consent

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I can agree with not heaping unearned buttpats all over everyone, but I will say that I'm pleased our new mods stepped up and are willing to take over the reins so we can continue playing.

I won't shower them with love over it, but I'll certainly tip my hat.

Exactly. I believe in rewarding good actions and punishing bad.

So far they haven't done anything good or anything bad. I'm waiting to see them do something actually awesome before I start singing their praises. I appreciate that they stepped up but they could still very easily run this game into the ground with mismanagement. I hope they won't. I want this game to succeed and I truly hope they are the people to make it happen.

they agreed to keep the game running, didn't they? surely that counts for something.

seriously. you don't have to bend over and kiss their ass, but is it really so hard to say "hey, thanks for keeping the game going!" jesus, it's no wonder the past mod teams got burned out

And they've already been implementing new things, asked for player feedback, laid out their immediate plans, and have kept AC moving. Yes, there's been some mistakes, but they're minor and I doubt they'd kill anyone for a polite "hey you forgot...". I guess that's asking for too much though.

All things considered, a few typos are a kinda petty thing to get worked up about when we have a new calendar and when everything else (AC, apps etc) has been dealt with so efficiently so that, as far as I'm concerned, you can't really see the join between old mods handing off to new.

They're handling the important stuff well so I think it's a little bit much to jump on them for minor hiccups like a few typos.
