Nobody flicks me in the butt without my consent

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Measurements aren't consistent! Your body changes, and the position you measure in changes things too. Generally if you have small boobs you should measure bent over at the waist so your boobs are hanging down. If you have big ones, measure laying flat on your back. Don't add inches to your underbust; if anything, subtract. (unless you have no padding to your ribs, then you might find going up a band size to be more comfortable) Also, putting your bra on correctly greatly changes the fit. It's not as simple as just hooking it and calling it good. http://brasandbodyimage.wordpress.com/2012/09/05/putting-your-bra-on-properly/ for visuals that illustrate this.

I know about the putting it on properly at least.

I've got bony large ribs and any band that sits firmly feels too tight, if it's not tight right away it'll feel too tight in an hour or two. Like, if I make the band any larger I may as well be not wearing the bra at all for all the support it gives.

Any underwire that touches my skin seems to chafe or irritate my skin no matter what I do, and even the tightest shoulders straps slip off at least 20 times a day.

I have heard the shoulder straps thing happens with the wrong cup size, but no changes seem to have improved that.

TBH I'm actually suspecting I just don't like tight clothing since those stupid elastic no underwire things aren't even slightly more comfortable but maybe it's just that I'm really not used to wearing bras.

While I don't feel uncomfortable with tight bands myself, I understand what you mean. Personally I feel more support the wider the band is, so maybe looking for 3+ hook bras would help. I know those are harder to find in certain sizes, but you might get lucky...

For me my straps slip off because for some reason a lot of bras are made with really wide straps and I guess I have narrow shoulders. I keep meaning to get one of those bra strap holders to help.

The ones I wear now when I do wear bras have 3 hooks, I attached a band extender so I could adjust it whenever. I tend to just make it so that I have to wear them for as little time as possible if I'm in a situation where I have to wear one.

supposedly I have broad shoulders but those fucking straps maaaaaan, they seem to be designed with the purpose of sliding off at every opportunity with their extra slippery fabric and all.
