I'd gripe about it less if Chrom actually had significant and 'deep' S rank, period.

He doesn't. With Sumia he realized with pies, ok. Maribelle's more into Lissa, let's be real, Olivia was really out of the blues even if they are sort of cute, Sully was just funny but none of his romance options are exceptionally meaningful.

So I'll take Robin, female OR male, because plot actually provides enough. That's my 2 cents.

Fair enough. But while the male does have a good support, female arguably has the shallowest support out of the girls you listed.

I do fully agree on that and frankly I found it ridiculous, especially when the plot gives a lot to work with that could've made their support much more meaningful (heck something like draping a blanket over each other for overworking, something fluffy and cute and relevant like that because both are the type). Instead we get accidental walk-ins on bath time.

...Okay. Guess you can't have them all!

Chrom is just full of spaghetti around chicks in general, too. Can I just marry him off with Frederick?

I'm pretty much in agreement with this. Of all of Chrom's potential S-ranks, 'Robin' has the deepest one and the one that makes the most sense. My second choice would have to be Olivia because it's cute, but besides that...

That said, he's also the only character who has to get married. If you were so inclined, it's possible to pass the awkwardness off on a 'well I don't have a choice, might as well make the best of it' thing.
