Nobody flicks me in the butt without my consent

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Possibly but it's going to be a pretty long road. It doesn't hurt WHEN I run but afterwards I always pay for it. I'm scared that by the time I can get back to it I'll be so out of running shape it will be way hard.

Oh man, I'm really sorry. I hope you heal up as well as you can. As for staying in shape, can you still do something like swimming to allay those fears?

Yeah like I'm really physically active. I bike everywhere and do a lot of heavy resistance training and kettlebell stuff I've just never been a runner and I remember when I started 1 minute jogs woth 2 minute walks between were incredibly hard. I guess I'm just worried if I stop I'll hit that point again.

Don't know if this helps at all, but I doubt that will happen, especially if you're able to stay active in other ways while you heal up. 6 months or so after I finished C25K I hit a major depressive episode and did nothing at all for about a year. I won't pretend that coming back to running was easy peasy after that, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. It's hard but not nearly as hard as first getting into it. I think part of it is mental too, you know you can do it because you've done it before.
