What's your canon point/protagonist? She's a little different in each path.

In general though, please don't ignore the Answer, even if you want to take her from after it or take her from the feMC route. A lot of players don't like what it does to her but it's actually a very good character arc for her and she winds up a better person because of it.

Minato/Male counterpart verse! I was thinking of taking her before the battle with Nyx, but like you said The Answer arc does give her more..closure? So I'm still debating. I really did like The Answer because she seemed a little more open despite of what's all happened.

different anon chiming in to say that despite the fact that she's different in each path, i think it's worth it to learn how yukari acts in the female route. she's much more pleasant and friendly, and that's because she'd be more open with a girl friend than a guy friend and while that relationship may be unique to minako, it also sheds light on how she would develop a friendly relationship with other girls in game. just because the routes are different doesn't mean the characters are different - minako's route pretty much gives us more insight on the characters we already know and love. while the events may not be canon, their personalities still are. something to keep in mind.

+1 to what the other anon said. also, she has big trust issues and if you take her from anytime after nyx and before the answer they're still very raw. with picking your canonpoint you probably want to look into what castmates are at any games you join and what they're doing. if you take her pre-nyx and the others are post she's probably going to end up finding about it eventually and have to go through the awkwardness of that in-game.

as for things when playing her, she's not tsun tsun tsun forever. she opens up to girls faster than guys but it's also specific attitudes guys have that annoy her, like junpei's perving, that probably goes back to her issues with her mom. and generally once she's decided she likes somebody she's actually really nice and friendly. after she gets over her issue with mitsuru she warms to her really quickly, so there's a good reason she's pretty popular at school.
