Does anyone RP from Mystery Dungeon? I kind of want to try Emolga or Hydreigon from the latest game, but I have no idea if anyone would even be interested in playing with them.

a friend of mine wants to play characters from that, but i can't remember which ones... so yes, people do! i kind of want to play a partner!turtwig from sky myself but my game doesn't save on emu so i can't finish it.

I've seen at least one Wigglytuff on D_M before. But yeah, I really wish there were more PMD characters, though. The new game had some excellent supporting characters, and the past games had some really memorable ones as well.

I'd totally consider picking up Grovyle or Bidoof from Explorers, or Quagsire or Virizion from Gates. I remember liking Gengar a lot from Rescue Team, but it's been so long since I've played that one that I'd need to review.

Tbh I'd always considered/toyed with the idea of playing the protag from Explorers as an actual mute protag- they did all that gesturing and stuff because adjusting from human to suddenly Pokemon! vocal cords didn't go well with them, and for the most part when they tried to speak it'd just be a very awkward, garbled-sounding mess full of false starts, forced stops, drawn out sounds, etc. So maybe not so much mute mute but more they just gave up on verbal communication after a while because awkward, embarrassing, and plus everyone around them got the hang of their gestures and improvised sign language fairly quickly anyway. I imagine Pokemon can pick up on body language a lot better than humans, anyway.

The little speech they give to their partner at the end of the game, well. They'd been practicing that. They'd been practicing it a lot, so they could say goodbye in words without stumbling, and well, they meant something so perhaps it could be the last special thing they were planning on doing with them...
