just to clarify, the detail in question is a biographical detail of the other author that i incorporated as headcanon for the character.

just to get it straight: the character was inspired by a writer, so you incorporated a biographical detail about that writer as headcanon for the character...and it's absolutely impossible for anyone else to have thought of that, so this person must be stealing your idea? because no one else would have read the same thing you did and thought along the same lines?

tbh your justification was kind of shaky to begin with, but the more you say about it the less justified you seem

and even if they did "steal" it, op's headcanon ideas are taken from another source which op can't lay claim to. they can't steal something from op that op doesn't own.
