That particular point of reference has actually been altered and is no longer the case! Tony and Jane (and also Loki) are getting nerfed by natural Shift magic that got unleashed on them by opening the portal. That Shift magic is what's causing their respective ailments.
The actual Malnosso punishment here will simply be not fixing what's wrong with them for however long they deem necessary.
Also, as I'm sure everyone can now obviously see, there are THREE posts up now with opportunities for characters to chime in and figure out the fallout and what happened etc etc etc. We also kept the showdown itself smaller because ICly neither Tony nor Jane were keen on too many invitees. It was never going to be a big public thing. In part because it was supposed to be just a test run, you know? In a world where this plan worked, the test run would have happend, and THEN a massive public thing would have happened for people to, you know, actually go home.
Feel free to hit me with any other questions. We tried to make it as transparent as we could but I just totally spaced on updating my last OOC post with the change on why Tony and Jane got screwed. That is totally my bad and I'm sorry I didn't clarify sooner. If anybody is wanting for any reason I can put up, like, an explanatory plurk or other OOC post to make everything super clear, I wouldn't mind.
also sorry for the wrong journal, but there's a cat on my tummy making it a bit harder to, you know, work my keyboard and trackpad.
