It's raw you donkey

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

yeah i really don't think chihiro's had time to sit down and explore his gender identity. i think he probably views himself as male at the point he's at in canon, and given the view of gender he currently seems to have i'm not really sure he'd be aware that there are identities that exist outside the binary

i get the vibe that cis is probably what was intended, but i do think there's enough wiggle room for genderqueer interpretations. not sure how i feel about the transgirl interpretation but i think that depends on how much you interpret chihiro's discomfort with having to present as female as being tied up in gender expectations and how much it's tied up with it just feeling off

Yeah, tbh I personally prefer a genderqueer interpretation slightly, but it's basically tied with "utterly cis but remains comfortably a crossdresser," which I also think is very possible. I think him being a trans* girl is least likely, but I can sort of see it since most of his discomfort at being seen as a girl seems to come when someone implies that he's weaker because he's a girl. So I wouldn't pitch a fit at someone having him arrive at that conclusion, if they did it right.
